What benefits and innovations apply to electric cars?
The fuel crisis of 2022 was probably a strong incentive to buy an electric car. A sharp increase in prices and the lack of fuel at gas stations once again emphasized the advantages of electric cars. Therefore, there was a significant increase in the number of battery-powered cars in Ukraine. And even under blackout conditions, owners of electric cars were not sad. The state supports and stimulates the purchase of environmentally friendly cars with the help of innovations.

In order to stimulate the sale of electric vehicles in Ukraine, new laws are being approved. For example, since 2020, Law No. 10405 has been in effect, which was introduced to protect the right of electric cars to park at charging points. It provides:

- Fine for parking vehicles with internal combustion engines in places for charging electric vehicles, amounting to UAH 340-510.

- Introduction of special green number plates and green license plates for electric vehicles for easy identification of electric vehicles, as well as corresponding road signs, which were not previously included in the traffic rules.

Today, when importing an electric car into Ukraine, import duty, excise duty and VAT are not paid.

Also, the number of charging points for electric cars is increasing every day. Now they are located almost every 100 km. This is extremely important for the development of electric vehicle infrastructure in Ukraine, because it solves one of the most important problems. Now the fear that the car will not reach its destination disappears.

Even under blackout conditions, some chargers worked. Of course, there were queues for them, because even those who previously used only the home network came out to recharge. So everyone tried to be patient and understanding about it.
